L'Affaire est Ketchup

L'Affaire est Ketchup was a well-kept Quebec City secret until Anthony Bourdain featured it in the Quebec episode of Parts Unknown — he later posted on Twitter, "L'Affaire est Ketchup. Quebec City. Thank you for a great meal, great night!" The name is a Québécois expression meaning roughly "it's all good," which the small, ambitious kitchen has mostly lived up to since.

It runs out of a genuinely cramped space — a handful of four-burner electric hobs turning out razor clams with beurre noisette, haddock roe, baked scallops and foie gras terrine, a menu more ambitious than the kitchen size would suggest. Bourdain's table got most of it in one sitting.

Small room, short notice doesn't work well here — book ahead, and expect a tight fit at the tables either way.
