The House Cafe'

Getting there
A short walk from Pai's walking street, on the edge of town toward the river

Why it’s in the log

The House Cafe' is a small, laidback coffee shop just off Pai's walking street, built around sitting still rather than moving through a menu. It's the kind of place with more hammocks than tables, which tells you most of what you need to know about the pace.

Pai already runs slower than the rest of the north, and this is where that pace is most obvious — no rush to turn tables, no push to order more than a coffee.

Go in the late afternoon and stay past the point you meant to leave.

Come with nowhere to be — that's really the whole point of the place.
