Flåm

A village at the end of the Aurlandsfjord where the railway and the water do all the sightseeing for you.

Flåm exists because of the fjord and the railway that drops into it — most visitors pass through on the way to somewhere else, on a cruise stop or a train changeover. Staying a night instead of a few hours means the village empties out by early evening and the water goes glass-still.
