Why it’s in the log
EcoCamp's geodesic domes sit on the steppe inside Torres del Paine itself, rather than outside the park looking in — the granite towers are visible from camp, and guanacos graze right through the grounds. It runs as a full camp rather than a self-catering rental: meals, guides, and organised treks are built into a stay, closer to a lodge than a plain cabin.
The domes are low-impact by design, raised off the ground and powered by renewable energy, which matters inside a national park this exposed to weather and this protected. Bring layers regardless of the season — Patagonian wind changes the forecast by the hour.
