Granite towers and guanaco-grazed steppe at the bottom of Chilean Patagonia.
The granite towers that give the park its name are the draw, but most of the ground between the trailheads is windswept steppe rather than forest — guanacos, and increasingly pumas, are as much a reason people come back as the peaks. Weather changes fast and hard here even within the summer window; layers matter more than the calendar date.
