Luster Fjordhytter

Getting there
On the fjord road through Høyheimsvik, in the Luster municipality at the head of the Sognefjord.

Why it’s in the log

Luster Fjordhytter offers simple, comfortable cabins on the inner Sognefjord, with the Jostedalsbreen glacier and its surrounding peaks close enough for a day trip rather than an expedition. It's a more functional, less styled stay than some of the architecture-forward cabins elsewhere in this region — the point here is access to glacier and mountain trips, not the building itself.

Luster is farming country as much as tourist country, so expect orchards and working land around the cabins rather than a resort landscape.

Less styled than some of the fjord cabins further south, but that's fine — you're here for the glacier trips, not the interior design.
