The Godolphin — most people, and the hotel's own signage, still call it the Godolphin Arms — is a Grade II listed Victorian building on Marazion's West End, with a terrace and most of its rooms looking straight across the bay to St Michael's Mount. St Austell Brewery took over running it in 2025, continuing what was already a long-standing seafront pub-and-rooms operation rather than a new build dressed up to look old.
It works as both a stop and a stay: the ground floor is a proper pub and restaurant open to anyone walking in off the causeway path, while the rooms upstairs make it one of the few places in Marazion where you can watch the Mount's causeway disappear and reappear with the tide without leaving the building.
Ask for a bay-facing room if staying over — not all of them look out over the water, and the view is most of the reason to choose this over somewhere inland.
