Marazion
Cornwall's mainland town for looking at St Michael's Mount, not the island itself.
Marazion sits directly across the causeway from St Michael's Mount, and unlike the Mount — a single National Trust property with fixed opening hours and a tide table to check — the town works at any hour. It's one of the oldest chartered towns in Britain, granted its charter by Henry III in 1257, and small enough that the walk from one end of the seafront to the other takes about ten minutes.
