Skinnskatteberg
A small forest municipality in Bergslagen, old mining and charcoal country now mostly given back to the trees.
Skinnskatteberg sits in Bergslagen, the old iron and charcoal-producing belt of central Sweden — the forest that grew back over it is now the main draw. It's a quiet, unpolished part of the country, closer to Stockholm than the Arctic destinations but with the same deep-woods character.
