Uçhisar
The highest point in Cappadocia — a village built around a rock-cut citadel, with views over Pigeon Valley.
Uçhisar sits above the tour-bus circuit that runs through Göreme, on a rock outcrop with the whole region visible from its castle. It's quieter than its neighbour and the cave hotels here are the real thing, not a themed version of one.
