Puerto Natales
A working port on the Señoret Channel that exists mostly as the last stop before Torres del Paine, two hours north.
Puerto Natales grew up as a sheep and coal-shipping port on the Señoret Channel and now runs largely on traffic headed to Torres del Paine, a two-hour drive north. Outside the peak trekking months the town empties out fast — plenty of places close for the winter rather than staying open for a trickle of visitors.
