Getting there
A few blocks from Puerto Natales' waterfront, in the town center

Why it’s in the log

Afrigonia is an outlier in a town whose restaurants mostly serve the same lamb-and-Patagonian-classics menu: a Zambian chef and his Chilean partner run a kitchen that pairs African spicing and technique with local ingredients — king crab, Patagonian lamb, regional produce — rather than either cuisine straight. It's been a fixture in Puerto Natales for years, well known enough locally that its lack of any hillside or lake view doesn't hurt it.

Like much of Puerto Natales, it keeps a seasonal rhythm tied to the Torres del Paine trekking calendar and has closed for stretches of the Southern Hemisphere winter — worth checking ahead rather than building a night around it outside the November–March season.
