Why it’s in the log
Doboz — Hungarian for "box" — takes the ruin bar concept and adds a nightclub's production budget: two dance floors, eight DJ-run music styles across the night, and a central courtyard built around one of District VII's oldest trees, over 320 years old, embraced by an oversized wooden gorilla with glowing red eyes.
In summer the dancefloor walls open straight onto that courtyard for a house-party feel; in winter the same courtyard gets heated rather than closed off, so the tree and the gorilla stay part of the night year-round. It's polished by ruin-bar standards — "premium" is the word the venue itself uses — closer to a proper club than a dive.
Go later than you think — this is a nightclub on a ruin-bar chassis, and it runs on club hours, not pub ones.
