Henna Art Cafe sits above the souk on a rooftop terrace with a small garden worked into the space, a few minutes' walk from Jemaa el-Fna but far enough removed from it to actually sit down and hear yourself think. Mint tea comes as expected; the henna application is the reason people specifically seek this one out rather than any rooftop café.

It's touristy in the sense that most people find it looking for henna rather than stumbling on it, and the review count reflects that. Still, it's run with more care than the average henna-and-tea stop near the square, and the garden makes it worth the climb even without the henna.

Go in the late afternoon, when the light off the rooftops is better and the square below has started to fill up for the evening.
